Den i videon nedan behandlar det område på vilket partiets politik varit mest känd – det stora antalet frågor på området som följer av detta är, förklarar Erik Almqvist, orsaken till denna separata presentation. Trevlig kväll på Heimdal igår med bl.a. föredrag av Claes Ryn på temat ‘Eliternas förfall: Från moral och kultur till oligarki och manipulation’. Bilden dock från ett tidigare seminarium där Ryn introduceras av den utmärkte och mycket saknade Per Ericson. De som inte känner till dessa rekommenderas att gå till länksidan. There is much I disagree with in Thatcher’s policies. She was much too much of a doctrinaire libertarian; her pro-Americanism and democratism were undiscerning and taken too far; she made false promises about restrictions on immigration; she uncritically promoted the Churchill myth; and she closed all the Victorian police stations. But despite all of these uncongenial weaknesses, she was an authentic English character of a kind that is increasingly rare. And, as has become much clearer since then, on the issue discussed here she is clearly right (not because all forms of European union are necessarily wrong, but because the current EU is simply anti-European). She bravely takes the stand that led to her downfall.
