One of my favourite churches in Stockholm, not far from where I live. Neo-Baroque. Since the early 1980s, I often meditate here. In this picture, some disturbing, coloured stuff can unfortunately be seen to have been temporarily added in the corner chapel behind the column.

I somehow cannot ascertain at the moment the precise name Poussin gave this painting, although it is one of his best known; or what the accepted French name is. I should really know this; and the information should be easy to find. But it isn’t. Anyway, “Dance…” is the name under which, as far as I know, it has always been known in the Anglosphere (it’s in the Wallace Collection).
