Lawrence Wilkerson is a retired US army colonel and former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell. He is an anti-war critic of U.S. foreign policy and a member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity.”

“What is coming, according to Wilkerson? Depression and Israel’s use of nuclear weapons.

What has to happen to prevent that? Complete arms embargo of Israel, tell them to ‘shut down’ the Iran war, Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank. Form a single democratic state in Palestine. Drop the Marines in Dimona, not Iran, and take over Israel’s nuclear facility.

Five weeks ago, such talk would have been insane. This from Gen Colin Powell’s former aide.

Is there any chance any of the above will happen? Given Trump, Schumer, Jeffries, etc, I’m not betting the remainder of my retirement on it. The depression part seems the more likely outcome. Trump is happy to bankrupt the US and starve the global south before he allows others to say he’s a loser.”
